Dog relocation, travel and timing, documents and admin, shipping, storage, leaving the UK, housing, work setup and the buffer that admits the spreadsheet is probably wrong.
We are not ready to publish exact numbers yet, and some costs will change as we learn more. But the categories are already useful because they show where the hidden work lives.
Why share this?
Not because our numbers will be universal. They will not.
But categories are useful. They help other people ask better questions earlier. They also keep us honest about what the move is actually asking from us.
What comes next
As the move develops, we’ll update the cost log with real figures where it is safe and useful to share them. We’ll separate estimates from paid costs and lived experience from research.
The dream matters. So does the spreadsheet.
